The purpose of this division is to provide new training and educational and leadership opportunities for Chamber members to assist in addressing 2024 opportunities and beyond.

Goals:

  • Connecting business vision with community vision.

Objective:

  • Facilitate candid conversations between the business community and the citizens of Bozeman and Gallatin County.

Goals:

  • Develop courses designed to address the core business issues facing Montana employers.

Objective:

  • Host training courses to address a variety of topics and issues pertinent to current business issues.

Goals:

  • Economic Development Regional Update Seminar presented by businessmen and women on current development projects under construction/planned and expectations for the business economy for the next two-three years.

  • Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport Update.
  • Local & Regional Economic Development Update.

Goals:

  • Promote agriculture in Gallatin County through educational, social, and legislative support.

Objective:

  • Continue to develop our partnership with Belgrade Chamber of Commerce.
  • Coordinate Annual Agricultural Banquet.
  • Provide a scholarship to MSU Agriculture Foundation.
  • Work with area elementary schools to fund and coordinate the annual Farm Fair.
  • Work with the Gallatin Valley Agricultural Committee to coordinate the annual FFA Breakfast when it's held in Bozeman.

Goals:

  • Promote and support high school-sanctioned as well as non-sanctioned events in Belgrade and Bozeman.

Objective:

  • Communicate opt-in MHSA hotels and motels.
  • Encourage Chamber members to volunteer at these events.
  • Fundraising to support high school bids.
  • Negotiate bids for hosting high school events.
  • Notify local businesses regarding upcoming tournaments.

Goals:

  • Develop future community leaders

Objective:

  • Provide a broad overview of the opportunities facing Bozeman and Gallatin County through a comprehensive learning program.
  • Provide opportunities at each session for future leaders to learn from current community leaders through field trips, presentations, and Q&A sessions.

Goals:

Facilitate candid discussions regarding the effect of mental health & wellness on the Bozeman Area communities.

Objective:

  • Engage local law enforcement and other mental health businesses on how to improve on our current infrastructure.
  • Facilitate mental health & wellness task force in improving on the delivery of services.

Goals:

  • Educate members about city, county, and state issues that affect business. Communicate the Chamber’s position on these issues to elected officials.

Objective:

  • Business Equipment Tax Elimination.
  • Facilitate and promote forums on current local issues that impact local business.
  • Hold quarterly legislative meetings with Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce, SW Montana Building Industry Association, and Gallatin Association of Realtors.
  • Host quarterly meetings with state and local elected officials and business members.
  • Interim Liquor Licenses Study.
  • Local Sales Tax Option/ State-wide Sales Tax.
  • Participate in the yearly " Business Days at the Capitol" event.
  • Provide input to Montana Infrastructure Coalition.
  • Tax Increment Finance District and Targeted Economic Development District.
  • Workforce Training Funds.

  • Maintain private public partnerships to address urban camping and an emergency shelter.

Objective:

  • Assist HRDC in meeting their financial shortfall to build an emergency shelter.
  • Continue dialogue with the business community and public sector in addressing urban camping.
  • Facilitate Urban Camping meetings.
