Welcome to Bozeman, Montana, the northern gateway to Yellowstone National Park that will offers incredible recreational opportunities or an inspired and productive meeting venue in an even more inspiring location. The Bozeman area is rich with exciting and memorable experiences. Enjoy the picturesque views, clean air, walking/bike trails, streams and world class recreation.

The purpose of this division is to enhance economic development of the community through the promotion of corporate meetings, shoulder season events, and tourism.

Plan and execute steps for proposed convention center.

Objective:

  • Explore public/private partnership.
  • Financing.
  • Marketing.
  • Operations.

Goals:

  • Promoting tourism as an economic and sustainable industry.

Objective:

  • Collect data on the causes for lost events.
  • Coordinate and manage the distribution of tourism materials at the Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) & Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN).
  • Electronic distribution of tourism leads to local businesses.
  • Expand and improve digital meeting planners guide.
  • Expand professional relationships with hotels & motels.
  • Facilitate Spartan Race for the next 10 years.
  • Marketing support for BZN new flights.
  • Respond to city-wide RFPs.
  • Write and implement a joint tourism marketing plan with Gallatin Valley Tourism Business Improvement District Committee (GVTBID).

  • Enhance regional tourism marketing efforts to attract new markets and continue to grow current markets.

Objective:

  • Design and implement a marketing plan which enhances current tourism marketing efforts.
  • Financial support for Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) new flights.
  • Partner with State, Bozeman DMO & other entities to leverage marketing dollars.
  • Recruit new citywide events.

Goals:

Identify current sports facilities in the Bozeman Area.

Objective:

  • Compare current inventory vs. deficiencies in hosting major sporting events.

Goals:

  • Strengthen Gallatin County’s economy through the promotion of the region as a vacation destination and meeting place and by partnering with the State of Montana Office of Tourism and Business Development.

Objective:

  • Attend three Tourism Advisory Council Meetings.
  • Attend Annual Governors' Conference on Tourism.
