The New Visit Bozeman Brand

Every good brand needs a refresh from time to time, and the tourism arm of Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce is no different.

"We are excited to breathe some new life into the Bozeman tourism brand," said Gregg Alexander, co-founder of PRIME, which is the marketing agency for the Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce, Bozeman Convention and Visitors Bureau (Bozeman CVB) and Gallatin Valley Tourism Business Improvement District (GVTBID). "The previous 'Only in Bozeman' campaign created tremendous success for Bozeman, but after six years, it was time to freshen things up."

The new branding unites the Gallatin Valley Tourism Improvement District and the Bozeman CVB under one entity, allowing all marketing campaigns to fall under one brand. Along with the "Only in Bozeman" campaign, the website has also seen tremendous growth but was ready for a refresh.

"The new brand reflects the modern/progressive personality of the Bozeman community while encompassing the historic appeal of our downtown area and the surrounding mountains that we all love," Alexander explained.

"We are very excited about the new brand that we can tailor all of our tourism efforts toward,” said Daryl Schliem, President and CEO of the Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce who also oversees the tourism division. “'Only in Bozeman' was created as a campaign but ended up lasting seven years.”

Along with a new design, the website also has a new domain, www.visitbozeman.com. Traffic from www.bozemancvb.com will redirect to the unique URL.

"The Visit Bozeman marketing committee would like to thank Lisa Sebena, owner of Lewis and Clark Motels," Schliem says, "for working with the tourism division in doing a no-cost lease of the Visit Bozeman domain. Lisa had the foresight to own the domain, and we are now the benefactor of a no-cost, 10-year lease with 5-year renewable options as she felt the Visit Bozeman brand would benefit all of the Bozeman hotels and surrounding communities."

Along with the new website, the winter marketing campaign is underway with a combination of national and regional digital, print, and social media advertising.
